Seasonal checks for the equipment you already own.

RJ Sam’s works on the heating and cooling equipment already in your home, across brands. We assess the equipment and explain compatible repair, care or replacement options.

Choose the right visit

Is it time for maintenance?

Routine care starts with the equipment you have and how it has been operating.

Plan ahead
Plan maintenance before the next heating or cooling season. If you remember the last visit, tell us; it is fine if you do not.
We’ll identify your equipment
Describe how your home is heated or cooled as best you can. You do not need to know the system names; we’ll identify the equipment and the checks it needs.
Describe a new problem
A stopped system or new fault needs investigation. Mention it when requesting service.

What to expect during your visit

What gets checked?

Select an equipment group to review its checks. Heating-element and gas-furnace checks apply where that equipment is installed.

Outdoor unit checks

  • Check condenser fan motor amperage.
  • Check compressor amperage.
  • Check the condensing unit capacitor.
  • Inspect outdoor electrical connections.
  • Inspect the condenser coil.
  • Check refrigerant pressures.

Know what happens next

Before and after the visit

  1. Tell us what you’ve noticed

Describe what you’ve noticed as best you can, such as a new noise or a room that feels too hot or cold. You do not need equipment names or service records; we’ll ask a few questions and take it from there.

  2. Prepare safe access

Keep access to indoor and outdoor equipment clear. Ask about any preparation needed for your home.

  3. Review what was found

Ask what was checked and what needs attention. A recommended repair is a separate decision, with a price to review before approval.

Before you decide

Maintenance questions

Review the decision and the service involved before requesting a follow-up.

Compare maintenance membership
Need help with a fault? Explore repair
What should I get at the end of maintenance?

An explanation of the equipment checked, relevant operating findings and any recommended further work. Discuss filter care and future service timing for the actual models. Cleaning, consumables and repairs should be identified separately; a new fault needs diagnosis rather than a promise that maintenance will fix it.

How often should I arrange maintenance?

Discuss the equipment, its use and the applicable care requirements. Confirm the recommended timing for each system; membership visit frequency needs separate confirmation.

Does maintenance prevent every breakdown?

No. Maintenance checks condition and operation, but equipment can still develop a fault between visits.

Can I book a single visit instead of membership?

Ask about an individual maintenance visit or membership for your home. Compare the included work, covered equipment and current terms before deciding.

How is a one-time tune-up different from an annual maintenance plan?

A one-time visit covers the agreed checks for the equipment on that visit. Membership brings scheduled seasonal inspections and its stated benefits together under an annual agreement. Compare the covered systems, included work, current price and any separate cleaning or repairs before choosing.
