What are you noticing?
These options have different jobs. The source and the existing HVAC system guide the recommendation.

- Circulating particles
- Review filter fit and airflow before considering a particle-capture upgrade.
- Dry or damp indoor air
- Determine whether the home needs moisture added or removed.
- Stale rooms or lingering odors
- Review the source, exhaust and planned outside-air exchange.
- A specific HVAC treatment need
- UV devices have defined targets and care requirements.
Before you agree
What should the plan include?
Review what the work addresses, the equipment and connections involved, and what is excluded. The proposed work and price should be clear before you approve it.
Filtration, humidity and ventilation guide- The concern and its source
- Describe the rooms, timing and relevant household or building conditions.
- Equipment fit
- Explain the job of each proposed device and its limits.
- Supporting work
- We’ll identify air connections, controls, water, drainage or electrical work as applicable.
What affects the work and cost? The selected filtration, humidity-control or ventilation equipment, air connections, controls, water or drainage needs and service access determine the work. One device does not address every indoor-air concern.

Before you decide
Indoor air questions
Review the decision and the service involved before requesting a follow-up.
Which indoor-air service fits my concern?
Particles point toward source control and suitable filtration; dry winter air and persistent dampness call for different humidity investigations. Stuffy rooms may need ventilation review. These can overlap, so the plan should state the concern addressed, installation needs and ongoing care without promising a health outcome.
Will one device address every concern?
No. Particle capture, moisture control and outside-air exchange have different purposes. The proposal should explain the conditions each device will and will not address.
Should I buy a higher-rated filter first?
Check cabinet fit and system airflow before upgrading. A more restrictive filter may be unsuitable for the equipment.
Can equipment resolve a damp basement?
Address moisture sources first. Dehumidification can manage water vapor, but it does not repair an active leak or damaged material.
