Tell us what’s happening
Where and when does dust return?
The pattern helps focus the investigation; visible dust alone does not identify one fault.
- Household sources
- Mention pets, fabrics, recent renovation or changes in activities.
- Filter bypass and air paths
- Review filter seating, cabinet gaps and relevant accessible returns.
- Damp rooms as well
- Moisture sources may need different work from particle capture.
Before you agree
What should the plan include?
Review what the work addresses, the equipment and connections involved, and what is excluded. The proposed work and price should be clear before you approve it.
Filtration, humidity and ventilation guide
- Relevant checks
- We’ll identify the sources, filter fit and accessible air paths to review.
- A suitable capture upgrade
- Compare filtration with cabinet fit and system airflow.
- Limits and other work
- Cleaning and attention to sources remain part of the plan. HVAC work does not promise a medical outcome.
What affects the work and cost? The filter cabinet, media choice, available airflow and access for replacement affect the scope. Include the correct replacement media and ongoing filter care in the comparison.

Before you decide
Questions before deciding
Review the decision and the service involved before requesting a follow-up.
What if dust returns soon after cleaning?
Discuss where it appears, filter fit, bypass paths, return-air routes and activities that create particles. A more restrictive filter is not automatically better for the blower. A useful recommendation explains the source and filtration/airflow changes, without promising allergy relief.
Why does dust keep returning?
Several sources and air paths can contribute. Rooms, timing and recent changes help focus the review; dust alone does not identify a specific fault.
Do I need a new filter cabinet?
The existing fit and airflow should be reviewed first. A cabinet change is one possible part of an upgrade, not an automatic requirement.
Does a filter change address damp conditions?
No. A filtration change does not correct an active moisture source. Have a note of any dampness ready for our follow-up about the dust concern.
