Plan a furnace installation around your home.

RJ Sam’s works on the furnaces already in your home, across brands. We assess the equipment and explain compatible repair, care or replacement options.

Start with your home

What does the new installation need?

Plan the new heating or cooling arrangement, including any distribution, power, fuel, drainage or access that does not already exist. Review the home before choosing equipment.

Explore equipment options

If an existing system has stopped working, a repair assessment can help establish the options.

Compare the repair option
Heating needs
Review room comfort, heat loss and changes to insulation, windows or the home’s layout.
Airflow to the rooms
Duct capacity and return paths affect how heat reaches the occupied spaces.
Existing cooling equipment
The furnace, indoor cooling coil, blower requirements and controls need a suitable match.

Before you agree

What should the proposal include?

Compare the full installed work, what stays, what changes and what is excluded. Review the proposed price and actual equipment and labor terms before approving the project.

Written-scope guide

Free written HVAC installation/replacement estimate

Review a written proposal based on the home’s heating/cooling needs, existing equipment and supporting installation work.

Compare the sizing basis, retained components, price, exclusions and startup/handover. Confirm removal, permit and coverage responsibilities for the actual project.

Furnace and sizing
We’ll specify the proposed equipment and the basis for selecting its capacity.
Fuel, venting and drainage
We’ll identify fuel connections, applicable combustion-air requirements, venting and condensate work.
Components that stay
Explain which cooling equipment, controls and ducts can remain and which need changes.
Access and completion
Include electrical connections, service access, applicable permits, startup and handover.

What affects furnace installation cost?

The installed price depends on the equipment, its capacity and the work needed around it. Compare the full written scope, including venting, gas and electrical connections, ducts, controls, removal and startup. A new installation or conversion can involve work an existing furnace replacement does not.

  • Identify the exact furnace and cooling-coil compatibility; compare the same capacity and operating features.
  • Ask whether venting, drainage, gas connections or electrical work change, and which components remain.
  • Include removal, access, permits where required, startup and the actual parts/labor terms in both proposals.

Know what to expect

From planning to using your new system

  1. Confirm the plan

Review the selected equipment, included work, price, timing and access before arranging the project.

  2. Prepare for the work

Discuss equipment locations, removal routes and what you need to prepare. The work follows the agreed scope.

  3. Check operation and explain care

Check heating operation, relevant safety functions and controls; explain filter location and routine care.

Before you decide

Planning questions

Review the common questions and use the project scope planner to prepare questions about the equipment and work involved. Your home will need an assessment before a quote is prepared.

How is a new furnace installation different from a replacement?

A new installation or conversion may need a fuel connection, vent route, ducts, return air or electrical changes that are not present. The assessment should explain the heating requirement, distribution, cooling-coil compatibility and work needed around the furnace, not simply copy an existing cabinet size.

Will a larger furnace fix cold bedrooms?

Not necessarily. Heating capacity and air distribution are separate questions. Restricted ducts or return paths can leave rooms cold even with larger equipment.

Can the existing AC stay?

Compatibility should be assessed. The furnace, indoor cooling coil, airflow and controls need to work together. The written proposal should explain which components remain.

How long will the work take?

Timing depends on the agreed scope, equipment, access and supporting work. Confirm the schedule, expected heating, cooling or hot-water interruption and preparation for your project before work is arranged.
