Tell us what’s happening
What can filtration address?
Start with the particles you want to capture and the air paths through your system.

- Airborne particles
- Dust, pollen and pet dander are particle concerns. Capture depends on the filter and air passing through it.
- Settled dust
- Dust on furniture, floors and shelves still needs cleaning and attention to its sources.
- Odors and gases
- Ordinary particle filtration does not address every gas or odor.
Before you agree
What should the plan include?
Review what the work addresses, the equipment and connections involved, and what is excluded. The proposed work and price should be clear before you approve it.
Filtration, humidity and ventilation guide- Cabinet fit and seating
- Check filter size, seating and gaps that allow air to bypass the media.
- Capture and airflow
- Compare the proposed filter’s intended capture with the airflow the HVAC system needs.
- Replacement access
- We’ll identify the correct media, access for changes and ongoing filter care.
What affects the work and cost? The filter cabinet, media choice, available airflow and access for replacement affect the scope. Include the correct replacement media and ongoing filter care in the comparison.

Keep the filter information
Follow care guidance for the installed model and keep the replacement size and part details. Review any separately priced supplies, cleaning or further work before approval.

Before you decide
Questions before deciding
Review the decision and the service involved before requesting a follow-up.
How do media filters and electronic cleaners differ?
A media cabinet uses a replaceable filter; an electronic cleaner has device-specific cleaning and operating requirements. Confirm which products fit and are offered, how airflow will be checked and what supplies cost. Ordinary particle filtration does not remove every gas or solve a moisture source.
Can I use any high-MERV filter?
No. MERV describes particle capture, but cabinet fit and airflow still need assessment. A higher rating does not establish suitability.
Will an upgrade remove all dust?
No. It acts on particles in air passing through it. Household sources, settled particles and filter bypass still need attention.
How often should I replace the filter?
Follow guidance for the selected filter and equipment, considering conditions in your home. Confirm inspection and replacement requirements at handover.
