Plan central air conditioning for your home.

RJ Sam’s works on the air conditioning already in your home, across brands. We assess the equipment and explain compatible repair, care or replacement options.

Start with your home

What does the new installation need?

Plan the new heating or cooling arrangement, including any distribution, power, fuel, drainage or access that does not already exist. Review the home before choosing equipment.

Explore equipment options

If an existing system has stopped working, a repair assessment can help establish the options.

Compare the repair option
Cooling needs
Review the rooms, windows, insulation, sun exposure and where comfort falls short.
Ducts and airflow
Assess existing ducts; where there are no suitable ducts, compare adding them with ductless equipment.
Cooling only or heat pump
Compare cooling-only equipment with a compatible heat pump that can also supply heat.

Before you agree

What should the proposal include?

Compare the full installed work, what stays, what changes and what is excluded. Review the proposed price and actual equipment and labor terms before approving the project.

Written-scope guide

Free written HVAC installation/replacement estimate

Review a written proposal based on the home’s heating/cooling needs, existing equipment and supporting installation work.

Compare the sizing basis, retained components, price, exclusions and startup/handover. Confirm removal, permit and coverage responsibilities for the actual project.

Indoor and outdoor match
We’ll specify the coil or air handler and how it fits heating equipment that stays.
Connections and drainage
Include refrigerant piping, electrical supply, condensate drainage and controls.
Capacity and distribution
Explain sizing and any ductwork needed to address hot rooms or weak airflow.
Complete installed work
Include removal, access, applicable permits, startup and actual warranty terms.

What affects the installation price?

The matched indoor coil, blower airflow, electrical connections, refrigerant piping and condensate drainage affect installation. Compare the work around the outdoor unit as well as its capacity and efficiency.

Know what to expect

From planning to using your new system

  1. Confirm the plan

Review the selected equipment, included work, price, timing and access before arranging the project.

  2. Prepare for the work

Discuss equipment locations, removal routes and what you need to prepare. The work follows the agreed scope.

  3. Check operation and explain care

Check cooling operation, drainage and controls; explain thermostat settings and routine filter care.

Before you decide

Planning questions

Review the common questions and use the project scope planner to prepare questions about the equipment and work involved. Your home will need an assessment before a quote is prepared.

What should a new central AC assessment decide?

The assessment should establish a cooling-load basis, how air reaches the rooms and where indoor/outdoor equipment and drainage fit. If suitable ducts do not exist, compare adding them with ductless options. The written proposal should explain these supporting changes and the complete price.

Can the existing indoor coil stay?

Only if its condition and compatibility support the proposed outdoor equipment. The replacement scope should explain the match and any components that need changing.

Can you add central air to a home without ducts?

Compare the work involved in adding suitable ducts with a ductless installation. The rooms and available routes guide the choice.

How long will the work take?

Timing depends on the agreed scope, equipment, access and supporting work. Confirm the schedule, expected heating, cooling or hot-water interruption and preparation for your project before work is arranged.
